Siemens Unigraphics NX 9 CAM | Quick Tips - Tombstone Machining

Tombstone machining presents special challenges for production environments. Programmers need to quickly instance CAM operations to different points on the tombstone. Sometimes, stepovers need to be customized for an individual instance. In the past, this meant that the programmer had to create non-associative toolpath instances.

Now with NX9, the "copy and paste with reference" command provides programmers with a powerful tool to create tombstone instances, yet retaining the flexibility to make individual instance edits.

In this 7-minute video, I will show you how to utilize this new command.
